Three kinds of greenhouse glass: ordinary float glass, ultra-white scattering glass and ultra-white

Glass greenhouses have gradually begun to replace thin film greenhouses and solar greenhouses. The full outbreak of glass greenhouses lies in whether the cost of greenhouses can be reduced. At present, for ordinary growers, the construction cost of glass greenhouses is still too high. This factor has turned away many investors.

ultra-white anti-reflection glass

At present, it is known that glass profiles account for about 15% of the investment in the construction of greenhouses. The main specifications are low, medium and high. The low-end is ordinary float glass, the middle-end ultra-white scattering glass and the high-end ultra-white anti-reflection glass.

The so-called price is paid for, and the three types of glass in greenhouses also have great differences in the efficiency of greenhouse planting and the increase in production. Let's talk about ordinary float glass. The light transmittance of ordinary float glass is up to 88%-89%, which has a certain shading effect and is not very friendly to greenhouse planting. In the case of rainy days or insufficient light, it is easy to cause insufficient photosynthesis of greenhouse crops, insufficient light absorption, and affect the falling flowers and fruits.

ultra-white anti-reflection glass

Then there is ultra-white scattering glass, the light transmittance of 91.5% is completely sufficient, and the scattering glass has a certain light scattering effect, which can increase the coverage area of light to a greater extent. The light can irradiate the roots of the crop to ensure that it will not be diseased. Ultra-white scattering glass can also screen light, eliminate ultraviolet light that is not needed for plant growth, and retain the blue-violet light needed for plant growth. Blue-violet light can effectively increase crop yields, and the nutrient elements contained in the fruits and vegetables produced are compared to The content of ordinary planting is several percentage points higher.

The last is ultra-white anti-reflection glass. Anti-reflection glass is an advanced version of ultra-white scattering glass. Based on the original scattering glass, the light transmittance of the glass is increased. The blue-violet light transmittance of the anti-reflection glass can reach 97.5. %, the yield increase benefit is about 15% higher than that of ultra-white scattering glass. Anti-reflective glass is currently the best glass that can be used in greenhouses.

It is recommended to use 4mm ultra-thin scattering glass for greenhouse glass, which is moderately priced and can increase production of greenhouse crops. Ultra-white anti-reflective glass is usually used in high-end greenhouse scientific research greenhouses, nursery greenhouses, etc.
